Maggie Rosenbaum '14 set a program record during a relay and finished first in another event as Hamilton College hosted a quadrangular meet at Bristol Pool on Nov. 20.

Rosenbaum, who was competing in her first collegiate meet, made an impact immediately. Leading off the 400-yard medley relay in the day's first event, she recorded a 100-yard time of 58.91 seconds in the backstroke leg. That time broke a 10-year-old record of 59.33 seconds held by Jen Kunz '01.

Hamilton finished second in the relay with a time of 4:07.27. The rest of the relay included Gabrielle Goione '12, Joan Burton '13 and Megan Gibbons '12.

Rosenbaum blew away the field in the 200 back with a time of 2:09.88. She was the only Hamilton swimmer that finished first in an event. She also placed third in the 200 freestyle in 2:00.88. The Continentals edged Hartwick College (128-114), but lost to SUNY Geneseo (160-82) and Ithaca College (173-70).

Gibbons took second in the 50 free (24.64 seconds) and third in the 100 free (53.63). Liz Bucceri '11 ended up fourth in the 500 free with a time of 5:32.04. Diane Paverman '13 was runner-up in the 1- and 3-meter springboard diving events with 213.20 and 213.85 points, respectively.

Hamilton travels to Wesleyan University for the Cardinal Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4 and 5.
