Hamilton College finished in 10th place at the three-day 2010 New England Small College Athletic Conference championships that wrapped up at Middlebury College's Natatorium on Feb. 21.
 
Megan Gibbons ’12 took second place in the championship final of the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.13 seconds. Gibbons broke the previous team record of 52.99 seconds set by Wendy Marrs ’97 in 1997. Gibbons' time also made a provisional cut for the NCAA Division III championships.
 
In the 200 butterfly championship final, Whitney Rosenbaum ’10 claimed seventh place. Rosenbaum missed automatically qualifying for the NCAA championships by one-tenth of a second, touching the wall in 2:05.66.

Diane Paverman ’13, who already had a fourth-place finish to her credit in the 1-meter springboard diving event at these championships, ended up seventh in the 3-meter with 362.95 points.
 
Hamilton finished with a total of 561 team points. Wesleyan University edged the Continentals for ninth place with 605 points. Williams College took first with 1,953 points.
