Women's tennis competes in Northeast Regional

Three Hamilton College women's tennis players competed in the 2012 USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championship at Hobart & William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y., on Sept. 22 and 23.
Alex Arenson '13 breezed to an 8-0 win against her opponent from SUNY Brockport in the first round of the singles championship bracket on Saturday. Arenson has won 15 singles matches in her Hamilton career. She fell 8-1 against a player from New York University in the second round.
Bella Schoning '16 and Mira Khanna '15 lost their first round championship singles matches, but rallied to win in the consolation bracket. Khanna posted an 8-5 victory against an opponent from Sage Colleges, and Schoning edged a player from the University of Rochester, 9-8, on Sunday.
The Continentals host SUNY Cortland for a non-conference dual match on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
