Hamilton College dropped a New England Small College Athletic Conference match against visiting Bates College by a 7-2 count at Gray Tennis Courts on April 19.

Bates (4-8 overall, 2-5 NESCAC) clinched the victory with five singles victories. Hamilton (1-11, 0-4) travels to Amherst College for another NESCAC contest on Tuesday, April 21.

Ashley Pardoe '09 picked up Hamilton's lone point in singles play in a tight third flight match, 7-5. 6-4. Pardoe claimed her fifth singles win this season.

Deb Barany '11 and Amelia Mattern '12 teamed up for an 8-2 win at second flight doubles for Hamilton's other team point. The duo recorded their third victory this spring.
