William Smith College took five of six singles matches in a 7-2 non-conference win over Hamilton College at the Hobart/William Smith Tennis Center on April 3.
William Smith (7-3 overall) is ranked No. 16 in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast regional rankings. Hamilton (6-4) had its win streak snapped at four matches.
Sara Shaughnessy '14 posted a 7-5, 6-3 win at fourth flight singles for the Continentals. She leads the team with 10 singles victories. Shaughnessy and Liz Detwiler '15 paired up for Hamilton's other win -- an 8-4 victory at third flight doubles.
Hamilton hosts Division I Colgate University for a non-conference match at Gray Tennis Courts on Wednesday, April 4, at 4 p.m.
