Hamilton College dropped a 7-2 decision against nationally ranked No. 37 St. Lawrence University in non-conference action at Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla., on Friday afternoon.

Results

Hamilton (8-3 overall) played a ranked opponent for the second straight day. Winnie Tang '17 was a 6-2, 5-7, 10-5 winner at second flight singles, and Rachel Friedman '15 cruised to a 6-0, 7-5 victory at sixth flight singles.

St. Lawrence (10-2) won its fourth match in a row. The Saints swept the three doubles matches en route to their win against the Continentals.

Tang improved her singles record to 9-4 this season. Friedman moved into a tie for fourth place on the team's all-time list with her 41st career singles victory.

Hamilton is off until Saturday, March 28, when the Continentals host SUNY Oneonta for a non-conference match at 2 p.m.
