Bond '09 posts pair of top four finishes in jumps

Akilah Bond '09 finished second in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump at the multi-divisional, non-team scoring Syracuse University Invitational held at Manley Field House on Feb. 7.
Bond was the top Division III athlete in both events. She was runner-up out of 26 athletes in the triple jump with a mark of 11.11 meters. She missed her school record in the long jump by .03 meters with a leap of 5.21 meters. A total of 45 athletes competed in that event.
Liz Wahl '10 was sixth overall and third among Division III athletes in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.36 seconds. A total of 54 runners competed in the 200. Gen Flanders '09 was the sixth-best Division III finisher in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:03.60. Flanders was 15th out of 45 overall.
Lauren Peters-Collaer '11 ended up in sixth place out of 25 athletes in the high jump. Peters-Collaer cleared 1.52 meters to finish fourth among Division III competitors.
Hamilton competes in the Liberty League championships at St. Lawrence University on Saturday, Feb. 14. Events start at 11 a.m.
