Muriel Schwinn ’13 finished in first place in the 100-meter dash as Hamilton College placed sixth at the 2010 New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships, which were held at Rensselaer's Harkness Track on April 30 and May 1.
 
The Continentals recorded a total of 57 team points. Ithaca College claimed first place with a team total of 274. Rensselaer placed second with 156 points, and University of Rochester rounded out the top three with 148 points.
 
Schwinn crossed the finish line in 12.67 seconds in the 100 meter finals. Liz Wahl ’10 was right behind her in second place in 12.78 seconds.

In the 200-meter dash, Wahl finished third with a time of 26.15 seconds. Schwinn claimed fourth place in 26.87 seconds. Schwinn’s preliminary time was slightly faster at 26.80 seconds. Schwinn also took fourth place in the long jump with a mark of 5.13 meters.
 
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Emily Gaudet ‘12 claimed sixth place in 11:58.36. Glenn Watkins ‘12 recorded a time of 2:24.12 in the 800-meter run to earn sixth place. 

Laurie Horesta ‘12
threw the javelin 31.55 meters for a sixth place finish. Sarah Boak ‘12 placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.60. Boak’s time was just 1.48 seconds off the program record.
 
The 400-meter relay of Alexandra Americanos ’10, Caitlin Hult ‘12, Alex Rimmer ’13 and Schwinn finished third with a time of 50.91 seconds. The quartet of Boak, Hult, Emily Heckman '13 and Watkins finished fifth in the 3,200-meter relay in 9:43.02.
