Hamilton College athletes finished first in three events in the non-team scoring Hamilton Invitational at Pritchard Track on March 30.

Results

Hannah Jaiven '14 tied the program record in the pole vault with a height of 3.29 meters (10 feet, 9.5 inches). The record was first set by Jess DeMichiel ’08 on April 5, 2008. Saturday’s pole vault took place inside Margaret Bundy Scott Field House due to windy conditions.

Emily Banzer '14 won her first collegiate event with a personal-best time of 5:02.24 in the 1,500-meter run. Anna Heywood '13 took first place in the 400-meter dash in 1:04.89.

Three Continentals earned runner-up finishes. Rachel Cackett '13 qualified for the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Championships in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 39:10.86. Springfield College will host the meet on Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17.

Kathryn Wall '16 sprinted to second place in the 100-meter dash in 13.80 seconds, and Krystina Choinski '15 completed the 800-meter run in a time of 2:27.64 and finished second. Maggie Doolin '14 grabbed fourth place in the hammer throw with a distance of 35.78 meters (117 feet, 5 inches).

Hamilton competes in the University of Rochester Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
