Women's track & field places 10th at Rochester Invitational

Hamilton College’s Hannah Jaiven '14 won the pole vault in a jump-off and the Continentals placed 10th out of 14 teams at the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational, which was held at Rochester’s Fauver Stadium on April 6.

RESULTS

Jaiven was tied with two others with a height of 2.97 meters (9 feet, 9 inches) before she claimed first place after a sudden-death jump-off. She tied the program record in the event at last Saturday's Hamilton Invitational with a height of 3.29 meters.

Hannah Kloeckner '14 qualified for the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Outdoor Championships in her 10,000-meter run debut with a time of 39 minutes, 31.69 seconds. Springfield College hosts the meet on Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17.

St. Lawrence University edged Division I University of Buffalo for the team title with 147 points. Buffalo recorded 137 points. Hamilton finished with 20 points. The Continentals compete in Rensselaer’s April Invitational on Saturday, April 13.
