Women's track & field places 10th at Rochester Invitational

Hamilton College finished 10th at the 15-team, multi-divisional University of Rochester Alumni Invitational at Fauver Stadium on April 9.
Muriel Schwinn '13 placed in the top eight in three events. Schwinn was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.14 seconds. She ended up eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.44 seconds, and eighth again in the long jump with a mark of 4.92 meters (16 feet, 1.75 inches).
Meredith FitzPatrick '11 took fifth place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:55.80. Rachel Cackett '13 finished sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:43.59.
Hamilton boasted two athletes in the top eight of the 800-meter run. Emily Heckman '13 was seventh in 2:26.63, and Sarah Ohanesian '14 was right behind Heckman with a time of 2:27.94.
The Continentals finished third in the 3,200-meter relay in 10:14.24. Heckman, Ohanesian, FitzPatrick and Erin West '11 were the members of the relay.
Hamilton ended up with 26 team points, and Rochester captured the team title with 142. The Continentals compete in an invitational at SUNY Brockport on Saturday, April 16.
