Hamilton College placed fifth out of 16 teams at the multi-divisional 2012 University of Rochester Alumni Invitational at Rochester's Fauver Stadium on April 14.

RESULTS

Muriel Schwinn '13 finished second in the long jump and eighth in the 200-meter dash. Schwinn recorded a leap of 5.10 meters in the long jump and had a time of 27.67 seconds in the 200.

Glenn Watkins '12 took second place in the 800-meter run and helped the 4x400-meter relay finish fourth. Watkins' time in the 800 was 2:20.51, which was the fastest for a Division III athlete. The 4x400 posted a time of 4:20.37. Savannah Alvarado '15, Caitlin Hult '12 and Sarah Boak '12 rounded out the relay.

Sarah Ohanesian '14 was fourth in the 800 and helped the 4x800-meter relay finish third. Ohanesian's time in the 800 was 2:22.30 and the 4x800 finished in 10:15.58. The other members of the relay were Emily Heckman '13, Emily Richey '14 and Lucy Keohane '15.

Three Hamilton runners finished in the top eight in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Hannah Lyons '14 led the pack in fourth place with a time of 12:03.12. Emily Potter '12 was fifth (12:07.72) and Emily Gaudet '12 came in eighth place (12:28.81).

Boak placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.75. Hannah Kloeckner '14 ended up fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:33.71.

Hannah Jaiven '14 finished fourth in the pole vault as she cleared 2.95 meters. Katie Steates '15 was fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.48 meters.

Hamilton finished with 63 team points. Rochester captured the team title with 169 points. The Continentals host the Hamilton Invitational on Tuesday, April 17, at 4 p.m.
