Muriel Schwinn '13 was runner-up in three events as Hamilton College placed third out of four teams in the 2011 Liberty League indoor track and field championships at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Feb. 12.

Schwinn was second in the 55-meter dash (7.68 seconds), the 200-meter dash (27.98 seconds) and the long jump with a mark of 4.92 meters (16 feet, 1.75 inches). The top two finishers in each individual event and the members of the winning relays earn all-league honors.

Maddy Gunter '11 took third place in the mile run with a time of 5:28.42. Emily Heckman '13 was third in the 800-meter run in 2:26.06. Meredith FitzPatrick '11 ended up fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:17.44, and Clare O'Grady '14 finished sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:05.88.

Brooke Rayder '11 tied for fourth place in the high jump with a height of 1.43 meters (4 feet, 8.25 inches), and was fifth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.48 seconds. Molly Brooks '14 finished fifth in the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 12.45 meters (40 feet, 10.25 inches), and Alex Rimmer '13 was sixth in the pole vault as she cleared 2.45 meters (8 feet, 0.5 inches).

Hamilton finished second in the distance medley relay. The Continentals' time of 13:11.72 was just 1.53 seconds behind the winners. Abby King '11, Sarah Ohanesian '14, Anna Heywood '13 and Erin West '11 were the relay members.

Hamilton competes in an invitational at Cornell University on Saturday, Feb. 19.
