Cazenovia College came from behind to post a five-set victory against visiting Hamilton College in a non-conference match played at the Schneeweiss Athletic Complex on Oct. 7.

Hamilton (6-13 overall) lost the first set 26-24, but won the next two, 25-14 and 25-20. Cazenovia (3-16) recovered to take the fourth, 25-20, and then the fifth and deciding set, 15-12.

Jo Fier '11 led the Continentals with 14 kills and Rachel Irizarry '12 added 11. Kelsey Lawler '11 was credited with 35 assists, four aces, 22 digs and four blocks. Lawler is ranked fourth in the New England Small College Athletic Conference with 0.57 aces per set.

Kristen Selden '09 served a team-high five aces and helped lead the defense at the net with four blocks. Selden is fifth in the NESCAC with 0.84 blocks per set. Alex Singh '11 chipped in three aces and 22 digs. Amber O'Connor '09 posted a team-high 25 digs. O'Connor is fourth in the conference with 4.62 digs per set.

Hamilton travels to Keuka Park, N.Y., for the Keuka College Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Continentals play SUNY Cobleskill at 9 a.m., Buffalo State College at 1 p.m. and Clarkson University at 7.
