Hamilton College breezed to a three-set victory against Utica College in a non-conference match at Utica's Clark Athletic Center on Oct. 3.

Hamilton (7-9 overall) ended its three-match skid as the Continentals won convincingly by scores of 25-16, 25-8 and 25-11. The Pioneers (5-12) dropped their fourth straight match.

Anna Brown '15 led Hamilton with 22 digs and six service aces. Amanda Cohen '13, Ianthe Lekometros '16 and Sarah Pfund '14 served three aces apiece and the Continentals finished with 16. Emily Rosen '15 chipped in nine digs and Pfund added eight.

Erin Casey '15 hammered seven kills and helped lead the defense at the net with three blocks. Blaire Frett '16 posted five kills and three blocks, Courtney Somerville '16 smacked seven kills and Brenna Corrigan '14 contributed five. Emma Lonadier '15 was credited with 16 assists and Pfund passed out 13. Hamilton committed just eight attack errors.

The Continentals return to NESCAC action on Friday, Oct. 5, when they host Williams College. Cohen and Ally Martella '13 will be honored before the match as part of Senior Night.
