Hamilton College improved to 4-0 with two victories at SUNY Potsdam's Victory Promotions Invitational on Sept. 10.

Hamilton won its third match in three straight sets, 25-10, 25-21 and 25-22, against Morrisville State College. The Continentals then outlasted Buffalo State College in five grueling sets (25-13, 25-22, 20-25, 23-25, 15-13).

Meredith Nuber '14 led Hamilton with nine kills and added two blocks against Morrisville (2-4 overall). Ally Martella '13 chipped in eight kills and three blocks. Amanda Cohen '13 posted seven kills, four aces and six digs.

Kristin Stenerson '12 hammered five kills and Brenna Corrigan '14 paced the defense with 12 digs. Cecelie Pikus '13 was credited with 18 assists and a team-high six aces, and Alyssa Hopper '13 passed out 13 assists.

Megan McCareins '14 enjoyed a big match against Buffalo State (3-4) with 10 kills, 11 digs and three aces. Nuber added nine kills and three blocks, and Sarah Pfund '14 pounded eight kills. Martella also registered eight kills before she left the match late in the fourth set with an injury. She is unlikely to play on Saturday.

Cohen recorded seven kills and 18 digs, and Rachel Irizarry '12 led the team with 25 digs and five aces. Hopper handed out 23 assists and Pikus picked up 15 assists and served four aces.

The Continentals take on the hosts at 1 p.m. and wrap up the tournament with a match against Clarkson University at 3 on Sept. 11.
