Opening Reception for Exhibition by Williams '73

This Thursday, Sept. 22, from 5-7 p.m., William Earle Williams ’73 will give a gallery talk at the opening reception of his exhibition, “A Stirring Song Sung Heroic: African Americans from Slavery to Freedom, 1619 to 1865.” The exhibition, located at the Davidson Art Center at Wesleyan College, will remain open until mid-December.  More ...

Nina Bogin K'74 Publishes Third Poetry Book

Alison Brackenbury of the Poetry Review comments on the achievement of Bogin's most recent work, "Nina Bogin writes beautiful, spare, exemplary poems from which everything unnecessary is quietly stripped away. (…) Her poetry, clear and direct, is never narrowly personal. The 'lost hare' is 'bedded down in the thoughts/ and dreams I hoarded there.'  Each listener can add experience to that hoard. The students on Hamilton’s New York City Program recently ventured up to Midtown East to visit the corporate offices of one of the United States’ most iconic luxury retailers. Steven Sadove ’73, chairman and CEO of Saks 5th Avenue, Inc., invited the 15 students to his corporate offices for a discussion on the current state of the retail industry.  More ...

Peter Wenigmann '73 Presents Hamilton with Jacket

Peter Wenigmann '73 and his daughter Niki '15 have presented Hamilton with the jacket worn by his grandfather Carl B. Wenigmann '13. Carl Wenigmann began the modern Annual/Alumni Fund, along with William M. Bristol, Jr. '17 and Clancy D. Connell '12. He also helped raise money for the Alumni Gymnasium, and one of the Annual Fund Cups is named for him. The chapel spire was illuminated in memory of Wenigmann and Theodore C. Jessup '14 by their widows. Peter was given the jacket by his father, C. Mitchell Wenigmann '48, who, as a strong supporter of Hamilton himself, chaired the Annual/Alumni Fund and was a recipient of the college's Bell Ringer Award.  More ...

Brian A. Caswell '73 will receive the Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award on May 13.  The award recognizes CPAs who are regularly engaged in community, charitable or civic activities.  Caswell, a CPA in Phoenix, NY, serves as president of Caswell & Associates CPA, P.C, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.
