Richard Burns '77 to Lecture on “LGBTQ Rights: Past, Present and Future”

Burns is Executive Director of NYC LGBT Community Center

Richard Burns '77, executive director of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community Center in New York City, will present a lecture, “LGBTQ Rights: Past, Present and Future” on Wednesday, May 1, at 5 p.m., in the Red Pit, KJ. Burns will discuss how he connected his passion for social justice to a career and what he sees as the past, present and future of the LGBTQ rights movement. The lecture is free, open to the public and sponsored by the Days-Massolo Center.

Gordon Kaye '74, editor and publisher of Graphic Design USA magazine, recently published an article titled "Designers and Print: Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing" as part of a series for Xerox Corporation.  In it he investigates the reasons why most professional graphic designers still work on print.

Visit to Federal Reserve and Bank of NY Mellon Cap NYC Semester

Hamilton’s New York City Program participants wrapped up the semester with visits to the New York Federal Reserve and the Bank of New York Mellon on Nov. 30. The students began their day with a visit to the Fed. for an informal discussion on the Eurozone crisis.

NY Program Students, Alumni Gather for Wall St. Association Event

Expert Panelists Discuss State of the Capital Markets

October 6, 2011 

Hamilton’s semi-annual Wall Street Association meeting on Oct. 5 featured a discussion on the current state of the capital markets with a panel of alumni experts. The event at the Racquet and Tennis Club was moderated by Susan Skerritt K’77, P’11,  of The Bank of New York Mellon. Panelists include Harold Bogle ’75, P’14, Credit Suisse; Andrew Taylor ’88, JP Morgan Chase Co.; and Jennifer Murphy Hill ’87,  Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
