NYC Program students spent a recent morning with Hamilton alumnus Bob Kinkel ’79 at Spin Recording Studios, a 4,000 square foot, world-class audio recording studio in Long Island City. Kinkel is a professional keyboardist and music engineer best known for his role as a co-creator/co-producer/co-composer and touring keyboardist with Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Participants in the first Levitt Leadership Institute cohort headed to Washington, D.C. for the second phase of the program during spring break. Led by Prudence Bushnell, former U.S. Ambassador to Kenya and Guatemala, the group continued their focus on the study of leadership, a program that was enhanced by daily meetings with Washington leaders. Funding for the entire program was provided by Arthur Levitt Jr.

Hamilton’s New York City Program participants wrapped up the semester with visits to the New York Federal Reserve and the Bank of New York Mellon on Nov. 30. The students began their day with a visit to the Fed. for an informal discussion on the Eurozone crisis.

JRB Enterprises, Inc. has announced Thomas Saeli '79 as chief executive officer. Saeli will oversee the operations of sister companies Duro-Last Roofing, Inc., Plastatech Engineering, Ltd., Oscoda Plastics, Inc., TIP-TOP Screw Manufacturing, Inc., Energy Solutions Insulation, Inc., and JRB Personnel, LLC. Chairman Jack Burt said Saeli was the "unanimous choice" of the Board of Directors and that they "are confident that Tom will provide excellent leadership for Duro-Last and the other businesses in the John R. Burt Enterprises family of companies as they grow and strengthen their positions in the marketplace."

Mass High Tech (MHT) has named Aron Ain '79 a 2010 All-Star. Ain is CEO of the workforce management software developer Kronos Inc. He began working for Kronos in 1979 when it was a startup and served as the company’s first service person and first sales person. Kronos has since grown to become a global firm with over 3000 employees.
