Howard Morgan ’84 Named Vice Chair of Parkinson’s Foundation

Howard Morgan ’84 has been named vice chair of the Parkinson’s Foundation (PF), a new organization focused on research, care, education and advocacy. It formed through a merger of two nonprofit organizations: the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) and the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF). Morgan will initially serve in this role for two years, until he succeeds John Kozyak, the former chair of NPF, as board chair.  More ...

David Solomon ’84 Describes Career in Investment Banking

David Solomon ’84, co-head of Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs, returned to Hamilton on Oct. 2 and spoke with students on the role finance plays in the world. Solomon, who majored in government at Hamilton, described how finance had always fascinated and intrigued him because it “helps [him] put in perspective how the world is changing, and how all of those changes affect all of us and what we do.”   More ...

Bill Gaden ’84 promoted to CEO of Imagem USA

Imagem Music, the world’s largest independent music publisher, has named Bill Gaden ’84 the new chief executive officer of Imagem USA. Gaden had been the chief operating officer of Imagem, a role he assumed when the company acquired The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization. Prior to the acquisition, Gaden served as Rodgers & Hammerstein’s senior vice president and general manager.  More ...

The momentum of the 4th annual Levitt Leadership Institute continued off-campus in Washington, D.C., the week of March 16. Exploring the Possibilities

The Career Center’s 4th round of HamiltonExplore provided 120 underclassmen the opportunity to explore career interests during winter break.  The shadowing program is designed to assist sophomore students with career exploration and decision making by offering the opportunity to “shadow” (observe) a Hamilton alumnus/a or parent in the workplace for a day or part of a day.  More ...

Annual Class & Charter Day is May 4

Hamilton’s Class & Charter Day celebration, an annual convocation recognizing student and faculty excellence during the preceding academic year, will take place on Friday, May 4, at 12:15 p.m., in the Chapel. This year’s speaker is Julie Ross ‘84, president of the Alumni Association. Her remarks are titled “Reflections on Inspiration, Transformation and Hamilton at its Bicentennial.”
