Jason Paulino '06 has published his first novel, Chosen.  The novel's website describes Chosen as "a Young Adult's Science Fiction Adventure which follows the lives of three teenagers and their transformation from sixteen year old high school students to intergalactic gladiators."

Ryan Serhant '06 will star in the second season of Million Dollar Listing New York, premiering on Wed, May 8, 10 p.m. (eastern).  The show follows — with a little dramatic license — Serhant as one of three brokers as they compete for clients and properties. Cameras track Serhant everywhere from his office to his apartment, and while the first season showcased Serhant’s competitiveness, it also caricatured his bachelor lifestyle.

Shoichi Sato ’13 plans to take advantage of this trend –while at the same time help others – by pursuing a career in the field of healthcare consulting. Sato is preparing for his future career goals by interning at the Harvard School of Public Health as a research assistant.

Second Pitch Competition Draws Budding Entrepreneurs to the Hill

When Mark Kasdorf ’06 graduated from Hamilton, he didn’t know the first thing about entrepreneurship—the jargon, the strategies, the possibilities. “It was a whole world that wasn’t visible to me,” he said. “I wanted to make the world visible to Hamilton students.” And in 2011, Kasdorf did just that. He organized the first Hamilton Pitch Competition, inviting students, alumni and friends to propose their ideas for new businesses to a panel of judges. On the weekend of March 30 to April 1, the second annual Pitch Competition took place in Kirner-Johnson’s Red Pit.

Mock Trial Team Advances to National Championship

First Time Team Has Advanced in Opening Round in Mock Trial's 10 Years

On the eve of its 10th anniversary, the Hamilton College Mock Trial team finished third in the Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS) on March 23-25, and qualified for the national championship tournament in April. Team captain Tyler Roberts ’12 won an Outstanding Attorney award and Patrick Bedard ’14 won an Outstanding Witness award.

Sean Tice '06 and Brooklyn Slate Achieving Success

In "A Cheese Board That Names Names," the New York Times recently featured Sean Tice '06 and his company Brooklyn Slate in their Dining & Wine section.  Brooklyn Slate is a collaborative effort between Tice and Kristy Hadeka that began after the two visited her family's slate quarry in upstate New York in 2009.  They brought home a few pieces to use as all-purpose boards and gifted some to friends.  The slate was so popular that they decided to start their own business.

The show will follow the three realtors as they close multi-million dollar deals on luxury properties in New York City and "give viewers an inside look into the aggressive, high-stakes world of New York City's real estate market."
