Tim Minella '09 Receives American Astronomical Society Student Award
Tim Minella '09, a double major in government and physics, has been honored with the Chambliss Astronomy Achievement Student Award by the American Astronomical Society (AAS). These awards are given to recognize exemplary research by undergraduate and graduate students who present at one of the poster sessions at the meetings of the American Astronomical Society. Minella presented results of his research at the 213th meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Long Beach, Calif., in January. The awardees receive a Chambliss medal and a certificate. Leeann Brigham '09, one of Hamilton's Senior Fellows, is profiled in a column in her hometown newspaper, The Troy Record (12/19/08). Brigham is studying an animal model of schizophrenia as her Senior Fellow project.
