“Fitness Guru” Dave Thompson Honored With Alumni Association's Distinguished Service Award

Dave Thompson, director of the Charlean and Wayland Blood Fitness and Dance Center, director of Campus Wellness and professor of physical education at Hamilton, was honored as the 2013 Distinguished Service Award recipient by Hamilton’s Alumni Association. John Hadity ’83, president of the Alumni Association, presented the award on April 5 during the Alumni Council’s Recognition dinner.

Annual Class & Charter Day is May 4

Student and Teaching Awards to be Presented

May 3, 2012 

Hamilton’s Class & Charter Day celebration, an annual convocation recognizing student and faculty excellence during the preceding academic year, will take place on Friday, May 4, at 12:15 p.m., in the Chapel. This year’s speaker is Julie Ross ‘84, president of the Alumni Association. Her remarks are titled “Reflections on Inspiration, Transformation and Hamilton at its Bicentennial.”


The ceremony will be available online via live webcast.

Bicentennial Assembly Celebrates Hamilton's Past, Present and Future

September 27, 2011 

The Hamilton community gathered en masse in Wellin Hall on Sept. 24 for the Hamilton College Bicentennial Assembly. The Assembly featured speakers representing members of all parts of the College community. Speakers addressed Hamilton’s distinguished past, bright future and the elements that make the College a truly unique institution. The event served as a keynote feature of the weekend that kicked off the yearlong celebration of Hamilton’s first 200 years.
