Amit Taneja, director of the Days-Massolo Center, served as a consultant and trainer for a new Safezone program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

Amit Taneja, director of the Days-Massolo Center, facilitated a conversation on inclusion at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica on Oct. 4. Taneja was invited by MVCC leaders to help create a dialogue on inclusive practices and strategies, and the presentation was also live-streamed to the MVCC Rome campus.

Amit Taneja, director of the Days-Massolo Center, was one of four national experts invited to review the LGBT Services Office at Wellesley College.

Amit Taneja, director of the Days-Massolo Center, was invited to speak at Davidson College (N.C.) on March 12. He was a guest in Davidson’s Careers in Education Week and spoke on “Diverse leaders and voices in higher education.”

Amit Taneja, director of the Days-Massolo Center, has been honored with a Peace Studies award from The Central New York Peace Studies Board and Peace Studies Conference Committee.  He received the award at the organization’s 23rd annual conference on Nov. 12 in Syracuse.

After an extensive national search, Amit Taneja was appointed director of the Days-Massolo Center this summer. Taneja comes from Syracuse University where he was special assistant to the senior vice provost for equity and inclusion and former associate director of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center. The Days-Massolo Center is hosting open houses on Tuesday, Aug. 30, for students and Thursday, Sept. 1, for faculty and staff, both at 4 p.m.
