Professor of Dance Elaine Heekin published “Movement Classes for Mature Adults: A Creative Approach” in Activity Director Today magazine. According to Heekin, “the article addresses various movement experiences that offer a refreshing approach as opposed to a generic workout.”  More ...

Memorial Service for Leslie Norton on Sept. 17

A memorial service for Associate Professor of Dance Emerita Leslie Norton will be held at the Hamilton College chapel on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. A member of the Hamilton faculty from 1984-2011, Professor Norton died on July 25 after a lengthy illness. A reception in Dwight Lounge of the Bristol Center will follow the service.  More ...

President Joan Hinde Stewart announced the passing of Associate Professor of Dance Emerita Leslie Norton in an e-mail to the campus community on July 25:

 

With deep sadness I write to inform you that Associate Professor of Dance Emerita Leslie Norton died Saturday following a lengthy illness. She was 58 and had recently retired from the Hamilton faculty after 27 years.  More ...
