Hamilton Choir Sings its Way Through Italy

March 28, 2013 

As is its every-four-years tradition, the Hamilton College choir is spending part of its spring break performing in Italy.  The students are on the choir’s eighth European concert tour under the direction of G. Roberts Kolb, professor of music and director of choral music at Hamilton. While the choir tours a region of the United States every March, the European tour is a special privilege that comes only once every four years.

Music Department Presents Home Concert of Choir's March Tour

The Department of Music will present the home concert of the Hamilton College Choir’s March tour on Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall.  The 64-member choir is directed by G. Roberts Kolb, professor of music and director of choral music at Hamilton since 1981.  The concert is free and open to the public.

Annual Choir Tour Heads to the Midwest

March 12, 2012 

The Hamilton College Choir is on the road for its annual spring break tour, this year visiting cities in the Midwest. The 64-members are directed by G. Roberts Kolb, professor of music and director of choral music at Hamilton since 1981. The choir will perform in Chicago on March 12; Plymouth, Minn., on March 13; Evanston, Ill., on March 14; and Cleveland on March 16.  The annual home concert is scheduled for Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Wellin Hall.

The Hamilton College choir directed by Professor G. Roberts Kolb, will lead a Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m., in the Chapel. The service is free and open to the public.

The Hamilton College Choir will present its annual fully staged musical Feb. 4-6 in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for the Performing Arts. Directed by G. Roberts Kolb and featuring a cast of Hamilton choir members, Grand Hotel will run Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4 and 5, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m.

Choir to Perform at Lincoln Center With University Glee Club of New York

January 8, 2009 
The Hamilton College Choir, under the direction of G. Roberts Kolb, will perform with the University Glee Club of New York City at its annual Gala Members Concert on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m., in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York. The concert will be followed by an Afterglow reception on the Grand Promenade at Avery Fisher Hall. Hamilton's choir will perform "Ave Maria," "Le Chant des oiseaux" (The Song of the Birds), "Pater noster," "My Lord, What a Mornin'," "Jubilate Deo" and "Babylone."  More ...
