Film Financier John Hadity ’83 is Class & Charter Day Speaker

Hamilton College’s Class & Charter Day celebration, an annual convocation recognizing student and faculty excellence during the preceding academic year, will take place on Monday, May 11, at 4:15 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center. This year’s speaker is Alumni Association president John Hadity ’83, a film financing expert and executive vice president for EP Financial Solutions. Millennial Mania Competition Unlocks Grant for Summer Internships

Nearly 500 members of the Classes of 1999 to 2014 participated in a bracket-style competition to earn a $10,000 challenge offered by Dan Fielding ’07. The money will fund four additional summer internship stipends for students through the Career and Life Outcomes Center.  More ...

Exploring the Possibilities

The Career Center’s 4th round of HamiltonExplore provided 120 underclassmen the opportunity to explore career interests during winter break.  The shadowing program is designed to assist sophomore students with career exploration and decision making by offering the opportunity to “shadow” (observe) a Hamilton alumnus/a or parent in the workplace for a day or part of a day.  More ...

Buffers Perform at NYC John Lennon Tribute

Hamilton a capella group The Buffers performed in the 33rd annual John Lennon Tribute concert before a sold-out crowd at Symphony Space on Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Dec. 6. The Lennon Tribute, co-sponsored by Theatre Within and Music Without Borders, began in 1981 as a small gathering of artists who wished to honor the memory of the musical icon, and has since grown into a major charity event for the Spirit Foundation, which Lennon and Yoko Ono founded in 1978.  More ...

Hamilton alumnus Luvuyo Mandela ’09 returned to the Hill on Oct. 29 to speak about his work as a social entrepreneur in South Africa. His former philosophy professor, A.
