Trivedi is Featured Speaker at Cornell

Associate Professor of History Lisa Trivedi was a featured speaker in the South Asia Program Seminar Series at Cornell University on April 9.  Trivedi's talk "Women at Work in India: Photographs from Ahmedabad, 1937," examined a collection of some 70 photographs taken by Pranlal Patel and commissioned by the Jyoti Sangh, a women's organization.

Completes Term as President of Society for Advancing the History of South Asia

Associate Professor of History Lisa Trivedi attended the annual meeting of the American Historical Association in Chicago, Jan. 5-9.  She completed her term as president of the Society for Advancing the History of South Asia (SAHSA) by organizing three panels for the conference and convening a business meeting of the organization she led.

Trivedi Assumes Presidency of SAHSA

Lisa Trivedi, associate professor of history, assumed her tenure as the president of Society for Advancing the History of South Asia (SAHSA) at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association in Boston, Jan. 6-9. Trivedi leads SAHSA in a period of growth and as it seeks a new role and position within the American Historical Association, the nation’s premier professional association of historians.
