Documentary Genesee Lights to be Screened

Genesee Lights, a  short documentary film that was a collaboration of students and faculty from Hamilton College, Utica College, the Digital Humanities Initiative, and the Levitt Center, will be screened as part of the Unspoken Human Rights Film Festival on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m., at the Uptown Theater in Utica.  More ...

Meghan O’Sullivan ’15 Helps Give Voice to Refugee Women

For Meghan O’Sullivan ’15, immigration is not just an abstract policy issue. This summer, as part of the Kirkland Summer Associates Program, she is pursuing a research project, “Oral Expression of Refugee Women.” Her goal is to create a podcast that gives some insight into the first-hand experience of the refugee women who have come to Utica, N.Y.  More ...

Moving to Mars Screening is April 27

The Levitt Center will screen the award-winning documentary, Moving to Mars, on Wednesday, April 27, at 7 p.m., in the Red Pit, K.J.  The film follows a group of Burmese refugees from their camps in Thailand to the town of Sheffield, England.  The screening is free and open to the public.
