Sigma Xi Initiates Six New Associate Members

The Hamilton College Chapter of Sigma Xi, the scientific research society, initiated six members of the Class of 2015 to associate membership on May 22 before the annual dinner in Taylor Science Center Atrium. Associate Professor of Chemistry Myriam Cotten attended the Scialog conference “Molecules Come to Life” at Biosphere 2 near Tucson, Az., March 12-15. Scialog was a multi-disciplinary gathering of physicists, chemists and biologists sponsored by Research Corporation for Science Advancement (RCSA) and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.  More ...

Hamilton Students Attend 249th ACS National Meeting and Exposition

Five Hamilton students attended the 249th American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition held in Denver from  March 21 to March 26. Attendees were seniors Esther Cleary, Liz DaBramo, and Jordan Graziadei along with sophomores Mia Kang and Rich Wenner. Students participated in a variety of seminars representing a large breadth of chemistry and networked with industry professionals and representatives of graduate programs.  More ...
