Student-athlete profile: Jake London '14

Jake London '14 is a member of the indoor and outdoor men's track & field teams at Hamilton College. Jake will help lead the Continentals at the 2013 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Outdoor Championships at St. Lawrence University on Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4. He competed in the heptathlon during the indoor season and qualified for the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Indoor Championships in the high jump. During the outdoor season, Jake competes in the 200-meter dash, the high jump and the 4x100-meter relay.  More ...

Stephen Rosenman '13 and the Hamilton College men's tennis team wrap up the season with a NESCAC match at Connecticut College on Saturday, April 27. With a victory, the Continentals would have their highest win total since 1995-96. Stephen won two matches and advanced to the semifinals of his singles bracket at the 2012 St. Lawrence University Fall Classic. He was on the 2012 NESCAC spring all-academic team, and played third flight doubles in his last home match on April 22 against Union.  More ...

Melissa Mann '13 plays her final women's tennis match for Hamilton College at Connecticut College on Saturday, April 27. Melissa is enjoying a successful senior season with records of 5-3 in singles play and 9-5 in doubles. She helped the Continentals win eight straight matches -- the team's longest streak since 2004 -- earlier this season. For her Hamilton career, she has won 13 singles matches and 21 doubles matches. Melissa is a two-time NESCAC spring all-academic team selection and a three-year varsity letter winner.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Melissa Kaknis '13

Melissa Kaknis '13 is a four-year starter at third base for the Hamilton College softball team. Melissa will help lead the Continentals into a three-game NESCAC West Division series at Middlebury College on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14. She is one of the reasons why Hamilton is ranked in the top 10 in NCAA Division III with a .972 fielding percentage. Melissa, who is a mathematics major, also tops the team with a career-high 13 runs batted in this year.  More ...

Helen Higgins '13 leads nationally ranked No. 10 Hamilton College women's crew into races at Union College for the Gilman Plate and Cup on Saturday, April 6. The women have topped Union for the Gilman Plate for seven straight years. On Sunday, the team travels to Tufts University for more races. Helen is a team captain and three-year letter winner. She rowed in the varsity eight and varsity four races at Stetson University in Florida during spring break.  More ...

Dylan Jackson '13 is a team captain for Hamilton College men's crew. Dylan is a two-time member of the NESCAC spring all-academic team, and regularly rows with Hamilton's varsity eights and fours. He will help lead the team into their first event of the spring season -- a regatta at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, on Saturday, March 23.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Hannah Hoar '13

Hannah Hoar '13 begins her fourth and final season with the women's lacrosse team on Saturday, March 9, when nationally ranked No. 16 Hamilton hosts No. 14 Tufts University at noon. Hannah has posted 30 goals and nine assists in 45 career games. She has helped lead the program to 46 wins, including a 21-1 record and the Division III national championship game in her first year. In 2012, she earned a spot on the NESCAC spring all-academic team. The Continentals also take on Wesleyan University at home on Sunday, March 10.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Knute Gailor '13

Knute Gailor '13 (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial HS) is in the midst of his fourth and final season with the men's golf program. Knute earned a spot on the NESCAC fall all-academic team in 2010 and 2012. He and the rest of the team begin the spring season with the Sunshine Classic in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on March 21 and 22. Hamilton is one of four teams aiming for a conference title at the 2013 NESCAC Championship, which will be hosted by Trinity College on April 27 and 28.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Gillian Dudeck '13

On May 9, 2012, women's golf became the 29th varsity sport at Hamilton College, and Gillian Dudeck '13 is recognized as one of the individuals who helped make that happen. Gillian helped lead the team through its first four tournaments last fall, and recorded the second-best stroke average on the squad. She made the 2012 NESCAC fall all-academic team after the season. This spring, Gillian and the rest of the women's golfers play in tournaments hosted by Le Moyne College, Amherst College and Ithaca College. The schedule kicks off with a match against St. Olaf College in West Palm Beach, Fla., on March 27.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Diane Paverman '13

Diane Paverman '13 will help lead the women's swimming and diving team into the 2013 NESCAC Championship at Bowdoin College, which begins on Friday, Feb. 15, and ends on Sunday, Feb. 17. Diane has been one of the top divers in the conference since her first season. She has finished in the top eight of the 1- and 3-meter springboard events at each of the three previous conference championship meets. She is a team captain and holds the program record for most points in the 1-meter board. In 2012, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America recognized Diane as an honorable mention scholar All-American.  More ...
