Student-athlete profile: Jason Gardepe '13

Jason Gardepe '13 has played in nearly every game of his four-year Hamilton College football career on the offensive line. Jason is one of 11 seniors appearing in their final home game at Steuben Field on Saturday, Nov. 3, against Middlebury College in the 33rd playing of the Old Rocking Chair Classic. The computer science major will make the 2012 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team, and he represents Hamilton in the Instructional Technology Apprentice Program (ITAP) through the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Charlotte Cosgrove '13

Charlotte Cosgrove '13 has helped the Hamilton College women's soccer team advance to the postseason all four years, including a 2012 NESCAC Championship quarterfinal at Bowdoin College on Saturday, Oct. 27. Charlotte has played in 56 games at midfield for the Continentals, and she scored her fifth career goal in her final regular season game -- a 5-0 win at Utica College on Tuesday. She helped the team make it's third NCAA championship in program history as a sophomore in 2010, and would love to lead Hamilton to the NCAAs one more time.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Rachel Cackett '13

Rachel Cackett '13 is a four-year member of the Hamilton College women's cross country team, and has also been a part of the women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams. On October 6, Rachel posted a personal-best time for a 5K race, and Hamilton won the team title in its own invitational. The team aims to ride the momentum of its recent victory into the 2012 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships, which will be held at Center Park in Fairport, N.Y., this Saturday, Oct. 20.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Leah Cairns '13

Leah Cairns '13 is a two-year starter and 2012 team captain for Hamilton College field hockey. She had missed just one game in her collegiate career heading into her final season with the Continentals, and was ready to lead the defense this year. But in the first game of the season against Trinity College, she suffered a leg injury and missed the next seven games. Leah returned to the lineup last week and played all 70 minutes in her final home game against Colby College on Sunday. She earned a spot on the 2011 NESCAC Fall All-Academic team, and played on the 2009 squad that competed in the NCAA championship for the first time in program history.  More ...

Ally Martella '13 plays her last match inside Margaret Bundy Scott Field House as a member of the Hamilton College women's volleyball team this weekend. Martella has been a solid contributor her entire Hamilton career, as she has played in 359 of 379 sets.  More ...

Dan Tempest '13
Student-athlete profile: Dan Tempest '13

Dan Tempest '13 has been a regular in the Hamilton College men's soccer lineup since his freshman year. Tempest has started 40 of the 44 games he has played in the back. Last year as a junior, he made the NESCAC fall all-academic team and scored his first two goals for the Continentals. In 2010, Tempest was selected to the Liberty League all-league team despite playing just nine games. His value to the team's defense can't be understated. Tempest will help lead Hamilton into another important NESCAC game against Bates College at Love Field this Saturday, Sept. 29, at 1:30 p.m.  More ...

Student-athlete profile: Hashem Zikry '13

Hashem Zikry '13 has jumped out to a great start in his final cross country season at Hamilton College. Zikry has finished first and second in the first two races, and his victory in last Saturday's dual meet against nationally ranked No. 24 Rensselaer earned him New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) men's runner of the week honors.  More ...
