Fall Fest Provides Autumn Enjoyment

Hamilton's 10th annual Fall Fest took place on Oct. 30 on the village green in Clinton.  Tara Huggins '14, co-chair of Hamilton's Social Traditions committee with Sarah Kelley '12,  said "Over the course of the day we had a few hundred people come. The weather was amazing and that made it just a great day."

10th Annual Fall Fest is Oct. 30

The 10th Annual Hamilton College Fall Fest will take place on Sunday, Oct. 30, from noon to 4 p.m., on the Clinton Village Green. Fall Fest is an initiative that was started in 2002 by the Hamilton Class of 2005 to enhance town/gown relations by uniting the Hamilton and Clinton communities for an afternoon of food, fun and entertainment.

Hamilton College Town-Gown Fund Reaches Goal

Donations Exceed $1 Million

June 22, 2011 

Ten years after it was established in April 2001 with a $100,000 gift, the Hamilton College Town-Gown Fund has reached its $1 million goal. As of June 15, the fund has received gifts from 450 individuals and businesses totaling $1,005,351. These contributions are invested as part of the Hamilton College endowment, bringing the market value of the fund to $1,279,395.

The 9th annual Fall Fest took place on Oct. 24 on the village green in Clinton. Families enjoyed face painting, trick or treat bag designing, performances by a capella groups Tumbling After, the Hamiltones,and Special K plus appearances by Hamilton's Tropical Sol and capoeira groups.

Every morning, Hanna Kahrmann-Zadak ’12 rides her bike from outside Clinton up the Hill to get to the lab. But before reaching her destination, she makes three pit stops to pick up her samples from two wells and nearby Oriskany Creek. She and Associate Professor of Geosciences Todd Rayne are embarking on a project that could prove extremely significant, especially to the community of Clinton: plotting the changes in the components of groundwater and of Oriskany Creek as they correlate to precipitation events. Eight local organizations have been selected to share $30,000 in grants from the Hamilton College Town-Gown Fund. The fund targets educational, cultural and public safety organizations in the Town of Kirkland. It has now distributed more than $266,000 since grants were first made in 2001. More ...

Hamilton College Contributing $250,000 for New Ladder Truck

Village of Clinton Mayor Robert G. Goering and Hamilton College President Joan Hinde Stewart announced today that Hamilton will make a single contribution of $250,000 toward the purchase of new ladder truck for the Clinton Fire Department.
