Assistant Professor of Chemistry Adam Van Wynsberghe has published a paper titled “Role of Secondary Sialic Acid Binding Sites in Influenza N1 Neuraminidase” in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. The work was carried out in collaboration with Jeffrey Sung, an undergraduate at the University of California-San Diego (UCSD), and collaborators from the University of California-Irvine and UCSD. Student Health Service Readies for H1N1 Possibility

No Reported Cases at Hamilton

Hamilton College has not experienced any reported cases of the H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu, but the college is taking a proactive stance in preparing for the possibility of an outbreak on campus. “We’re ready,” said Christine Merritt, director of Student Health Services. “Last spring we weren’t sure what was going to happen,” she commented. “Now we’re as ready as we can be.” More ...
