Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre (Directing and Theatre History)
The Theatre Department invites applications for a one-semester sabbatical replacement beginning July 1, 2014. The successful candidate will teach three courses, including beginning directing, Western or global theatre history, and one course in the candidate's specialty, such as playwriting, dramatic literature, or performance studies. PhD or DFA in theatre required; experience in teaching directing and theatre history at the college level required.
The Theatre Department https://academics.hamilton.edu/theatre, consisting of four faculty members and two staff, stresses non-traditional approaches and the combination of production and scholarship. The Department's new theatre facility will be completed July, 2014, and the successful candidate may be involved in helping to coordinate the opening.
