The OCC offers courses in oral presentation, argumentation, group discussion, intercultural communication, listening, negotiation, and leadership. Oral Communication courses are credit-bearing and count toward graduation requirements.
The OCC also offers help directly to students who want to improve their speaking skills. OCC peer tutors can help students build confidence and perform better in their oral presentations, debates, group presentations, panel discussions, podcasts, readings, oral exams, poster presentations, and everyday use of spoken English.
From time to time, the Oral Communication Center conducts training workshops and seminars that are open to all students. Each of these sessions typically focuses on a single issue or challenge in oral communication, such as organizing a presentation, using PowerPoint, controlling nervousness, etc.
