Help with courses containing a quantitative/mathematical component, such as biology, chemistry, economics, geology, mathematics, and Psychology is available on a drop-in basis at the QSR Center located in the Christian A Johnson Building, room 303. It is open Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday from 2-6, Sunday through Thursday nights from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m.  Check the schedule outside the door for all courses tutored and the times.

The Quantitative & Symbolic Reasoning (QSR) Center also offers support for courses that fulfill the Quantitative and Symbolic Reasoning Requirement (Starting with the class of 2014), and for the Quantitative Literacy Requirement for students up to the class  of 2013 (A ten session non-credit-bearing Quantitative Literacy Tutorial. Completion of this tutorial during either semester is one way for a first-year student to satisfy the Quantitative Literacy Requirement.

Additional assistance is available at the Writing Center  and at the Oral Communication Center in the Kirner-Johnson building.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the drill sessions, review classes, and other help provided by individual departments. Students are advised and encouraged to seek assistance from their professors, by going to office hours, and by making special appointments for conferences.
