June 9: Arrive Sydney travel to Cairns, Queensland, Australia

June 10: Trip to Daintree Rainforest and coastal mangroves to study botany and natural history of Queensland tropics

June 11: Boat trip out to the Great Barrier Reef, first day of diving and orientation

June 12: Facies study of Great Barrier Reef habitats and sediments

June 13:Depart for Hobart, Tasmania

June 14: Day hike to botanical gardens and orientation

June 15: Darwin’s Assent of Mt. Wellington Dolerite and Wilderness in City

June 16: Day Trip to Maria Island or Tasman Peninsula

June 17: Day Trip to Maria Island or Tasman Peninsula

June 18: Depart for overland Trip, Mt. Field National Park Maydena Giants Table cabins

June 19: Styx River Valley of Giants, Maydena Giant’s Table

June 20: Overland drive to Strahan, West Coast, Macquarie Harbour

June 21: Drive to Cradle Mountain National Park Cabins in Park or Cozy Cabins

June 22: Hike up Cradle Mountain or around Dove Lake Cabins

June 23: Drive to Wynard via Helleyer Gorge and Oonah plantation stay at Leisureville

June 24: Day trip to Rocky Cape National Park, Fossil Bluffs Aussie Rule Ftbl Game at Wynard City Park, Leisureville

June 25: Drive to Mole Creek, Alum Cliffs or Mole Creek Caverns Mole Creek Cabins

June 26: Return to Hobart via Midlands Highway or Central Plateau depending upon weather, stop at Wildlife Park

June 27: First Day Short course - GPS processing, Intro. to LARISSA, network and objectives of POLENET

June 28: Second Day Short course - GPS processing, Dr. Matt King University of Tasmania

June 29: Third Day Short course - GPS processing, Dr. Matt King University of Tasmania, Field course, Banquet

June 30: Depart Hobart to Sydney, overnight in Sydney

July 1: Depart Sydney at 10 a.m., arrive in NYC at 4:25 p.m.
