Campus Buildings and Facilities

In general, refer to a Hamilton building or facility by the name that will be most familiar to the intended audience. However, be sensitive to using the full and proper names when preparing formal invitations or, in many cases, on first reference.

Afro-Latin Cultural Center

Anderson-Connell Alumni Center
Alumni Center often acceptable on first reference. Sometimes referred to as Communications & Development (or C&D), the offices that occupy the building.

Annex
Now Tolles Pavilion.

Athletic Center
The complex that includes Margaret Bundy Scott Field House, Little Squash Center, Russell Sage Rink, Alumni Gymnasium, William M. Bristol, Jr. Swimming Pool, and Charlean and Wayland Blood Fitness and Dance Center.

Capitalize.

Siuda House
When necessary to specify as the headquarters for admission and/or financial aid, use the Office of Admission at Siuda House or the Office of Financial Aid at Siuda House.

Philip Spencer House
Spencer House often acceptable on first reference.

Tolles Pavilion

Always use full name. Do not refer to as the Pavilion, which is a different facility. Formerly the Annex.

Wellin Atrium

Use on first reference to identify the atrium located in the Science Center.

Wellin Hall acceptable on first reference. Located in Schambach Center.
