During the following learning activities, we used Google Earth to explore two case studies, the first was the Dust Bowl and the second was NOLA.

During the second day of the workshop, we held four learning activities. The first activity was in Mapping Census Data. We experimented with online mapping tools for census data visualization. We then continued this activity following a short break.

When we continued the "Mapping Census Data" activity, we learned how to map using Google Fusion Tables.

After lunch, we learned about batch geocoding, multimedia, and online collaboration with Google Maps.

On the third and final day of the workshop, we held a two part learning activity in the morning and a two part presentation/ learning activity in the afternoon. In the first learning activity we covered thematic mapping and data manipulation in GeoCommons.
