Former Ala. Sen. Doug Jones to Give Commencement Address
Former Alabama Senator Doug Jones, a prosecutor who brought long-overdue justice to the victims of the 1963 Birmingham, Ala., 16th Street Baptist Church bombing, will deliver Hamilton’s 2024 Commencement address and receive an honorary degree on Sunday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m., in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.

Midway through the second semester, Hamilton students continue to excel in the classroom, in academic competitions, and as student-athletes.
Spend just a few minutes with Norma Callejas ’26, and you’d be surprised to learn that a year ago this bubbly, enthusiastic sophomore was a timid, self-conscious first-year student who, before arriving at Hamilton, had never set foot outside her home state of Texas.
