Association for Women in Science Educational Foundation
Undergraduate applicants must be in their second or third year of college and expect to major in science or a related field. Graduate students must have been admitted to candidacy for the Ph.D. in a life or physical science or engineering program. Class year requirement varies by award. -

Boren Scholarship

Bristol Fellowship
Created for Hamilton College students to encourage discovery of self and the world, a greater appreciation and understanding of people and culture, and to enable individuals to act on great ideas through independent study projects rather than formal academic pursuit." DAAD Annual Grants
Undergraduate scholarships to study in the Federal Republic of Germany. Foreign nationals are eligible if they are attending a U.S. institution for their undergraduate degree. Applications in all fields are accepted, with the exception of dentistry, medicine, pharmacy and veterinary medicine. Class year requirement varies by award. -

Gates Cambridge Scholarship
Provides full funding for graduate study or for a second B.A. at Cambridge University for one to three years. Scholarships are available to applicants from every country of the world except the UK. Open to seniors and recent graduates. -
German Academic Exchange Program (DAAD)
Covers one year of study in any discipline at a German university. Applications are welcome from freshmen through post docs. Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents and Canadian citizens. Open to students in any class year and recent graduates. -
Gilman International Scholarship

Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Scholarship Program
Scholarship provides funding for tuition, living expenses, books and other required fees for the length of the graduate degree program up to six years. Open to seniors and recent alumni (within 3 years). -
Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Advanced Studies
Nationals of IMF Asian member countries interested in studying for their doctorates in economics in order to work in an international financial institution (such as the IMF or the World Bank) or in their home administrations. Open to students entering the first, second or third year of a Ph.D. program. -
Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Regular Program
The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is for students from developing countries with relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts who are applying to a master's degree program in a development-related topic. Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship
Annual fellowship for advanced study of Fine Arts in the U.S. or abroad, to enhance professional standing or to finance a special project. Preference for candidates under 25 years. There are three fellowships of $7,500 each in art, architecture or music; an additional music fellowship for $15,000; and up to three alternate awards of up to $1,000 each. King Faisal Foundation Scholarship

Levitt Social Innovation Fellowship

Microsoft Scholarships
Four types of scholarships for undergraduate students interested in computer science and related technical disciplines. One-year award for students attending institutions in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. All recipients of a scholarship will be required to complete a salaried summer internship of 12 weeks or more at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington. Open to students in any class year. -
National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowship
Support graduate students in fields important to national defense needs. This requirement is defined broadly and most prospective graduate students in the sciences and engineering are eligible to apply. Open to graduating seniors and first-year graduate students. -
NSF Graduate Research Fellowship
Provides support for research based graduate study leading to doctoral degrees in the natural sciences, mathematics, computer sciences, engineering, behavioral and social sciences, and in the history or philosophy of science. Open to seniors and first-year graduate students. -
Organization of American States (OAS) Fellowships
For graduate study or research in any field except medical sciences or introductory language study. Open to juniors, seniors, and recent graduates. -
Overseas Research Students Award Scheme
Funding to pay the difference between international student fees and home EU fees for international students at UK institutions. Open to graduating seniors and recent graduates. -
Rhodes Scholarship
Provides funding for up to two years of study at Oxford University. Open to U.S. citizens and citizens of other eligible countries who must apply in their home countries even as students studying in the U.S. Open to seniors and recent graduates. Rhodes Scholarships for Non-U.S. Citizens
The Rhodes Scholarship is a fully funded, full-time, postgraduate award which enables talented young people from around the world to study at the University of Oxford. The Rhodes Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship with the purpose of developing public-spirited leaders, and promoting international understanding and peace through an international community of Scholars. Roothbert Fund Scholarship Program
Approximately 20 ($2,000-$3,000) awards are offered to students in the U.S. in need of financial aid to further their education at the undergraduate or graduate level. Open to students in any class year. -
Rotary Peace Scholarships
Funding to support a two-year master’s-level degree program at one of the Rotary Centers for International Studies. Seventy scholarships are offered worldwide. Not limited to U.S. citizens. Class year requirement varies by award. -
Rotary Scholarship Foundation Global Grants for Graduate Study
Provides funding for periods ranging from three months up to two years for post-graduate study abroad. U.S. citizenship is required. Open to seniors and graduates. -
Samuel Huntington Public Service Award
Provides two $10,000 stipends each year for graduating college seniors to pursue a public service project of their own design anywhere in the world. Open to graduating seniors. -
Smithsonian Fellowships
Unless noted otherwise, all Smithsonian fellowships (graduate, pre-doctoral, post-doctoral, senior) opportunities are open to non-U.S. citizens. Open to graduating seniors and recent graduates. -
Society of Women Engineers
Various awards for women pursuing baccalaureate or graduate degrees in engineering or computer science, as well as engineering and computer science students enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs. Open to students in any class year. -

St. Andrew’s Society Scholarship

Swiss Benevolent Society of New York Scholarships

Truman Scholarship
Supports students interested in a career in public service (broadly defined) with $30,000 for graduate or professional school, summer internships and other opportunities, and introduction to a supportive alumni network. U.S.-Japan Bridging Foundation Scholarship
Provide funding for one semester of study in Japan. Open to U.S. citizens; all majors encouraged to apply; Japanese language facility is not required. Open to students in any class year. -
Udall Scholarship
The Udall Scholarship supports students who intend to pursue careers related to the environment as well as Native Americans and Alaska Natives who intend to pursue careers in health care and tribal public policy. UNCF-Merck Undergraduate Science Research Scholarship
Awards are intended to encourage the interest of African American undergraduate students in furthering their science education and pursuing biomedical science careers by providing tuition support and opportunities for research experience in a state-of-the-art industrial laboratory. United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program
Two special degree study programs for citizens of South Pacific nations and East Timor. Scholarships are awarded for undergraduate degree study. Priority is given to applicants seeking degrees that address national development needs. Open to graduating seniors and recent graduates. -
Watson Fellowship
The Thomas J. Watson Fellowship provides $40,000 for a year of international travel to pursue an independent self- designed project. Open to graduating seniors, U.S. citizenship is not required. Open to seniors. Internal nomination or endorsement process required. -
Winston Foundation for World Peace Fellowships
Supports undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in cooperative security, conflict resolution, and disarmament. Fellows design their own projects, usually involving public education, media outreach, grassroots organizing, or another active approach to issues of cooperative security, nuclear arms control, conventional arms transfers, demilitarization, democracy building, conflict resolution, and the like. Applicants are expected to work full-time with a non-profit organization. A stipend is provided for the duration of the project, which lasts from 2-4 months during the academic year or summer. Class year requirement varies by award.
