Facilities and Resources
The Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts, which opened in 2014, includes two student performance spaces. The Romano Theatre is a flexible venue that seats 175 and has a trap floor and moveable catwalks for professional-level productions. The lab theatre seats 100. There are costume and scene shops, dressing and green rooms with audio or video monitors for both theatres, a box office and coat room. The building is a creative hub for theatre students, including classrooms and performance studio space. Outside is an amphitheatre.
Hamilton offers a variety of other classroom and performance facilities. In addition, the theatre and dance programs provide a range of specialized staging and design equipment as well as stock and computerized lighting systems in various production shops.
