Play Written by Jenna Langbaum ’15 to be Featured in Fringe Festival

The play Jenna Langbaum ’15 wrote for her senior project at Hamilton, The Night of Blue and Salt, will be featured in the New York International Fringe Festival in the Iati Theatre in New York City this August. She will be directing it, and will also be performing in it along with two other Hamilton College alumni, Andrew Gibeley ’16 and Anna Jastrzembski ’14.    More ...

Kolb ’02 and Schell ’03 Cast in Rome Capitol Theatre's Carousel

David Kolb ’02 and Katrina Schell ’03 will appear in the the Rome Capitol Theatre production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel.  The show will run from July 14-16, at 7:30 p.m. Kolb will play the role of Mr. Snow and Schell is cast as Carrie Pipperidge. Sasha Kaye ’05 Creator of, Stars In “Precious Cargo”

Sasha Kaye ’05 is co-creator, executive producer and one of the stars in the new web series “Precious Cargo.”   The series follows the lives of two sisters, Lisa and Sandy, and their adventures as tutors of wealthy children in New York City. Making a Musical

A lot happened before the Theatre Department’s musical Spring Awakening opened on April 14 in the Eugene Romano Theatre.  Starting with auditions in February the production took shape as  sets were  designed, music was learned, costumes were made and many hours of rehearsals were held. College photographer Nancy Ford spent the last two months capturing what went on behind the scenes before actors took the stage.  Take a look at what goes in to the making of a musical.  More ...

Theatre Department Presents Musical Spring Awakening

The Hamilton College Theatre Department presents the spring production of the musical Spring Awakening, book and lyrics by Steven Sater, and music by Duncan Sheik. Based on Frank Wedekind’s provocative play, the Tony Award-winning Spring Awakening explores the conflict between repressive adult society and adolescent sexual awakenings in 19th century Germany. It's directed by Professor of Theatre Craig Latrell, with music direction by Karen Corigliano and choreography by Professor of Dance Elaine Heekin.  More ...

The Hamilton College Theatre Department announces the Fall Theater production, Beauty and the Beast. Performances will continue Friday, Nov. 6 – Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 11 – Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. There is a matinee performance on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in the new state-of-the-art Romano Theatre within the Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts.  More ...
