We would like to invite you to the HEOP/College Scholars Panel on Monday, April 13 at 7 p.m. (EDT). Three of our current HEOP/Hamilton College Scholars will share information about the Opportunity Programs community. About Our Panelists:
Denzel Capellan ’22 is from Manhattan, N.Y., and is pursuing a public policy major with a possible minor in education. Denzel recently participated in Hamilton’s New York City off-campus study program and had an internship at the New York Hall of Science, and has also served as a Diversity Recruitment Intern for the Admission Office, and as treasurer for the QuestBridge Scholars Network.
Baillie Riggs ’20 is from Chesapeake, Va., and is majoring in Chinese. During Baillie’s time at Hamilton, she has participated in the College Choir, the Shenandoah-Kirkland Initiative, and the Community Outreach & Opportunity Project (COOP) service internship program, as well as served as a Resident Advisor and language tutor.
Hector Rivera ’22 is from New Haven, Conn., and is a double major in biology and French and Francophone studies. Hector is a member of the Squash Team, executive board member of the French club, head of the Spanish Culture Interest Community in his residence hall, and also runs weekly movie and game nights on campus, in addition to spending time cooking.
Brenda Davis is the interim director of Opportunity Programs at Hamilton College.
Phyllis Breland ’80 is the outgoing director of Opportunity Programs at Hamilton College.
