Can't Attend Open House for Accepted Students?

Can’t make it to the Open House on April 18?

Need another look at campus?

Don’t worry! There are plenty of other ways to learn about Hamilton.

You are welcome to visit us any day in April. It’s your own personalized open house! Take a tour. Sit in on a class. Join an Accepted Student Information Session. No pre-registration is necessary. Just stop by the Office of Admission at Siuda House when you arrive on campus. Listed below are some of the options available to you.

Student-Led Tours

Get “up close and personal” with Hamilton College on a student-led tour. Get an insider’s look at our incredible facilities and ask our student experts all your questions.

  • Monday - Friday: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
  • Saturday: noon, 2:15 p.m.

All tours leave from the Siuda House Office of Admission.

Residence Hall Tours

Our residence halls are much more than a place to sleep; they’re a place to call home. You don’t have to look very far to find our students studying, preparing a meal or having a hall meeting in the lounge. Peek through the doors and start to figure out what to put on your shopping list.

  • Monday - Friday: 11 a.m.
  • Saturday: 2:15 p.m.

All tours leave from the Siuda House Office of Admission.

Information Sessions

Remember all those information sessions that you sat through when you did your initial college visits? Well, this one will be different. You will have the chance to speak candidly with a Hamilton student about life on campus. At the same time, your parents will be able to ask questions of an admission officer (in another room — so you won’t embarrass each other!).

  • Monday - Friday: 10 a.m.
  • Saturday: 1:15 p.m.

All Information Sessions are held at the Siuda House Office of Admission.

Please note: Each weekday at 12:15 p.m., the Admission Office will conduct a general information session intended for all visitors.

Lunch

We think our food ranks right up there with the best! In fact, one student even said that he applied to Hamilton College because of our hamburgers. Perhaps it will be the salad bar, the sushi or the stir-fry station that convinces you. Join our students for lunch in one of our all-you-can-eat dining halls.

Meal tickets for accepted students are available at the Siuda House Office of Admission.

Attend a Class

Tired of everyone telling you about small classes and student-faculty relationships? Want to see for yourself? This is your chance to observe and maybe even participate in a college class. The most difficult part will be choosing which one to visit.

We encourage prospective students to arrive five minutes before the class to introduce themselves to the professor.

Overnight Visits

A limited number of overnights with a student host in a residence hall are available on a first-come, first-serve basis on April 5, 12, 19 and 26. Seven days advance notice is required. Call 315-859-4442 to make arrangements.

Students will meet their Overnight Hosts at the Admission Office at 4 p.m. on the scheduled date.

Should you wish to stay with a friend or relative currently enrolled at Hamilton, we would be glad to provide you with a packet of information and meal cards. Just notify us of your visit, and you can pick up your packet at the Admission Office.

Hamilton College offers travel scholarships for families with significant financial need. Interested students should contact our office at admission@hamilton.edu.
