Connect 101: Internship or CRE Search
- Get tips and strategies for lining up a break in career-related experience (CRE)
- Begin to develop your CRE plan and prospect list of potential organizations to target
- Learn how to write an effective exploratory letter to reach out to potential organizations
Most beneficial for:
- Students who can identify at least one career field of interest
- Students who would like to pursue an internship or CRE
Connect 201: Job Search
- Begin to define criteria for types of opportunities to pursue
- Learn why “apply and wait” does not work well
- Use a SWOT analysis for their job search plan to uncover next steps
- Learn how to develop and find contacts at organizations on their prospect list
- Learn nuances of networking for the purpose of job search (vs. exploration)
Most beneficial for:
- Senior seeking entry-level employment
Connect 301: Internship, CRE, or Job Search Action Plan
- Create an action plan for their internship/CRE or job search action plan
- Develop a prospect list, timeline, and specific goals for their search
Most beneficial for:
- Students who have attended Connect 101 or 201
- Are working with a career advisor to set goals and strategy for their search
- Would benefit from a structured approach for their personal search
