Evan Klondar graduated from Hamilton in 2011 with a degree in public policy and is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. Since graduation, Evan has worked as a commercial consultant in the private sector but recently transitioned to the public sector. He currently works as a senior consultant for Deloitte.

Landing in the right job after college can often feel as stress-inducing as preparing to take a director’s cue: ready, set, action. Luckily for students at Hamilton, opportunities to explore just about any profession are available through the Career Center, including the field of film production.

This summer, Craig Engert ’21 is interning in an office where most people keep toys on their desk, employees can book a conference room to de-stress with board games, and interns test unreleased toys and games on their lunch break.

For Natalie Halpin ’21, legal studies and the arts are not mutually exclusive, and in her internship with The Wardrobe Union (Local 764), she demonstrates just that.

During a panel discussion, students heard from three alumni working in the field of policy and political research. Panelists included Ann Dubin ’06, a freelance political researcher and consultant, Marc Pitarresi ’10, a freelance political and communications consultant and researcher, and Cristina Garafola ’11, a research associate at RAND Corp. specializing in Chinese foreign policy.

Nina Kraus graduated from Hamilton College in 2013 with a BA in Economics and a minor in Biology. She a Vice President at Hamilton Lane (‘HLNE’) in Munich, covering fund investment opportunities across EMEA and managing a team of five. Nina previously worked for Hamilton Lane in London and Philadelphia. Nina can often be found exploring the outdoors with her Golden Retriever, skiing and reading.

Meg was a World Politics and Spanish double-major at Hamilton and a member of HAVOC, SAAC, HEAT, & the Women’s Soccer Team. Upon graduating, she was awarded a Fulbright to Malaysia where she taught English as a second language. Come May, Meg will be graduating with her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.
