National award that pays expenses towards the senior year and the first two years of graduate school. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating high academic achievement, reasonably well focused graduate plans. Winners tend to be best students in arts and sciences. Winners have up to 5 years to use the scholarship money.
ELIGIBILITY

Juniors who have demonstrated high academic achievement and are planning to pursue graduate school in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Up to three years.

$2,000 for the senior year, $15,000 per year for the first two years of graduate or professional school.


SELECTION PROCESS

Beinecke fellows must be nominated by the College. A faculty committee reviews the applications and nominates the strongest of the candidates.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
