Hamilton’s Student Fellowships Coordinator will work with you to identify and apply for nationally and internationally competitive opportunities.
International Summer Research Funding
This new program is designed to support second- and third-year Hamilton students who wish to conduct summer research outside the United States in locations such as universities, government agencies, museums, archives, art galleries, archaeological and historical sites, research libraries, laboratories, and field sites.

Florence “Flo” Turiaf ’17 has been awarded Hamilton’s Bristol Fellowship for her project “Removed Yet Within: An Exploration of Identities Within Non-Sovereign Territories.”

Derian De La Torre ’18 and Jie Ying Mei ’19 have been awarded Freeman-ASIA awards for study abroad in China this summer.

Julie Lin ’17 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Taiwan. She's a literature and studio art major who studied at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Rome.

Michael Lubelczyk ’17 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Germany. A history major minoring in German, he studied at Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen, Germany, in 2016.

Yuwen Michelson ’17 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Laos. A sociology concentrator at Hamilton, she served as a volunteer English teacher through Global Vision International in Laos during summer, 2014.

Alexander Dennis ’18, a computer science and math major, has been named a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar. It's the premier national undergraduate award in the fields of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering.

Brenda Narvaez '17 and Rachel Williams ’17 have been awarded the U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship (CLS). Narvaez will study Arabic will study in Oman and Williams will study Arabic in Morocco.

Adrian Summers ’19 has been named a 2017 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact, a Boston-based non-profit organization working to advance the public purposes of higher education.

Anna Liu ’18 has been awarded the Gilman Scholarship and Freeman-ASIA award for study abroad in China for this summer. An economics and Chinese major at Hamilton, she is active on the Campus Activities Board and the Pen Pals Program.

Gerard Pozzi ’18 has been awarded a Coccia Foundation Scholarship for study abroad in Italy. Established in 1994, the Coccia Foundation is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Italian culture, with a particular emphasis on promoting the rich Italian cultural heritage among younger generations at the college level.
